Last Minute Details for Sellers/Vendors

Hello Everyone ! I apologize for sending this so late but I am super busy finishing things up for the sale and my toddlers just fell asleep :)

Set-Up is Friday night at 7pm.
We are hoping to get you all in quickly and out by 8pm.
If you have not paid for your space or large items, please have cash or check available.
There will be somebody checking in people and assigning you a space at 7pm on Friday and 7am on Saturday.
We all need to get home and get some sleep for the long day on Saturday.
If you can not make it on Friday night, you must have all items unloaded and in your space no later than 7:45am on Saturday.

Pre-Sale for sellers and vendors to shop before the public is at 7am on Saturday.

Sale opens to the public at 8am on Saturday.
Each seller/vendor is required to make their own change.
Please prepared with small bills.
It is up to you to mark or not mark prices. You may haggle if you choose or keep prices firm.

We will not cancel for the weather. As per the contract, refunds will not be given unless FCF MOPS cancels the sale. If you are unable to make it on Saturday, please call or text Shauna (928-853-7782) or Courtney (928-814-0220).

If you have paid for a space, then you can have two items in the Large Item Area at no charge.
For additional items, there is a $2 fee for items priced $49 and under or $5 for items $49 and higher.
I am putting together a list of all large items that I have so far.

Each item needs to be marked with a price and your seller #.
I will have index cards available at Set-Up on Friday night and Saturday morning.
If you are willing to haggle on price for your large item, I need to know your lowest price.
If not, we will mark the price as FIRM.
This lowest price will be on the list for our Large Item Coordinators to see only.
If somebody offers less than the posted price, they can make the deal for you.
I will have my computer with me on Friday during set-up to tweak the list.
If you are not coming on Friday night to set-up, you will need to email me on Friday so I can enter your information.

Saturday, November 10th

The Mom 2 Mom Sale has been confirmed for November 10th.

If you would like to sell in the sale, please complete the following form and turn it by Friday, October 27th. If you are selling gently used items your family no longer needs, the space will cost $10. Tables are an extra $5 charge. If you are a vendor and would like to sell products or hand made items, a space will cost $20. Please contact us via email with the company you work with or the items you wish to sell so we can keep things fair.

I am sad to announce that the Mom2Mom Sale has been postponed. It is tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, November 10th. Please help us to spread the word. Only a few days left...

Have you purged your kids' room of toys they don't play with and clothes that don't fit? I have a couple boxes ready to go for my spot at our next sale. You must have your completed registration form and money in by Tuesday, September 25th. Registration Info

If you are interested in selling some of your gently used children's items, check out our registration form for all of the details about the sale! (Also see the "How do I become a seller?" post.)

Please print and fill out the form and mail it in with your check. Keep the information page for your reference.

Shoppers will also be looking for deals on large items. If you have any strollers, cribs, bouncy seats, jumperoos, exersaucers, etc., you'll want to consider selling them as well. There is a small charge for large item as we will handle selling these items for your asking price while you attend to your table. You can place two large items in the sale for no charge with a paid rental space. Space is limited for these items, so the earlier you register, the better.

Space for sellers bringing their own table is just $10. If you would like to rent a table, a limited amount are available for an additional $5 rental fee. Remember, registration must be received by Tuesday, Septmeber 25!

Hints for Sellers

It is completely up to you if you want to bargain. If you are not willing to barter on the price, you may want to post a sign stating that all prices are firm. If you are willing to bargain, you may want to post a sign stating that no reasonable offer refused.

Clearly label each item with price and size. It also helps to sort your items by size.

Bring enough bags (plastic or paper) to offer to your shoppers for the items they purchase.

Make sure you have plenty of $1 bills and change!

Don’t leave your money accessible to the general public. A hip bag or apron with pockets is a good idea.

If you have more items than can fit on your table, consider leaving them in totes or boxes under your table and bring them out as you sell items. Begin with your best items or best priced items on the table to begin the sale.

Make sure that your items are clean and in good working order.

If you are selling large items, make sure they are clean as well. People are more likely to buy items that look newer than ones they would have to clean before using.

Make sure your multiple-piece items are connected together with safety pins or put in a zip lock bag.

If you are sharing a table with someone else, make sure that you have different tags to collect as you make a sale to assure both parties get their rightful monies.

Be selective when deciding which clothes to bring. People will be looking for quality clothes in good shape – no stains or broken zippers – and will pay accordingly.

Fall Sale October 6th 2012

We have scheduled a second Mom2Mom Sale for 2012.
Our next sale will take place on Saturday, October 6.

Shoppers: Have $1 for the entrance fee and be ready to shop at 8am.

Sellers: You will need an updated contract completed by Tuesday, Septmember 25th.
You can rent a space for $10.

Vendors: Select Vendors will be allowed to participate in the sale. Vendors can rent a space for $20. We would like to keep the items centered towards products and services that would be used by Moms and Kids in Flagstaff. What is a Large Item ?

Question for the sale:
What qualifies as a Large Item to put in the Large Item Area?
Answer:
Anything too big to keep at your table to sell, which will benefit from better visibility to shoppers looking to buy large items. These include items such as bikes, trikes, bouncy seats, walkers, jumparoos, Johnny-jump-ups, chairs, high chairs, strollers, beds, cribs, pack n' plays, large toys (like a doll house or play kitchen or vanity), etc.

Large Item Area

Placing large items under or around table space clogs walkways, and don't sell as well, which is why we offer the Large Item Area.  Many shoppers like to start the sale in this area.

Just a reminder about large items:
- No drop-wall cribs (recalled for safety reasons) 
- No expired car seats

-Large items NOT listed on original registration forms must be paid for upon checking in for the sale, and must be OK'd (preferably via email) beforehand.

Hints for Shoppers !

General
Get there early!

If at all possible have exact change ready for the entrance fee.
(Getting folks in goes much more quickly if the workers are not making change.)

Bring a friend. You can split up and cover twice as many tables quickly.

Consider renting your own table. If you have a table, you get to shop the other tables before the sale opens to the public.

The sale can get very crowded, therefore strollers are not recommended.

If you can go child-free, it will be easier for you and your child. If you have to bring your children, bring a friend, dad, or grandparent to help.

Make space in the trunk of your car - you never know what you may need to take home!

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You might even want to leave that heavy jacket in the car!

Buying
Bring enough cash and keep the bills small!

Keep your money easily accessible but safe. A hip bag is a good idea.

If you are looking for large items, visit the large item area first as these items usually go fast!

Bring a large tote bag to carry your purchases.

Don’t be afraid to make an offer for an item.

Check all items carefully before buying. Check for broken zippers, missing buttons, stains, rips, or tears (especially along seams).

If you are looking at a toy, make sure all of the pieces are included.

If you are not looking for large items, consider arriving later during the sale. Most sellers will be willing to bargain as it gets closer to closing time.
